Overview
Scribe is a decentralized, community-driven platform built on Solana that empowers token holders to create, curate, and govern content through a sophisticated bounty and voting system. By aligning incentives between creators, curators, and the broader community, Scribe creates a sustainable ecosystem for high-quality content production.
Problem
Traditional content platforms suffer from several critical issues:
- Centralized control over content moderation and monetization
- Misaligned incentives between platforms and creators
- Lack of community ownership and governance
- Opaque reward distribution mechanisms
- High barriers to entry for new creators
Solution
Scribe addresses these challenges by implementing a token-gated governance model where community members directly influence platform decisions, bounty allocations, and content curation. Smart contracts ensure transparent, automated reward distribution based on community consensus.
How Scribe Works
The Scribe ecosystem operates through three interconnected layers:
1. Token Layer
$SCRIBE tokens grant voting power and access to platform features. Token holdings determine influence in governance decisions.
2. Bounty Layer
Community members create and fund bounties. Creators submit work, and token holders vote to approve submissions and release rewards.
3. Governance Layer
Proposals for platform changes, treasury allocations, and policy updates are voted on by token holders with stake-weighted voting.
Bounties
Bounties are the core mechanism for incentivizing content creation. Any token holder can create a bounty with specific requirements, deadlines, and reward amounts. Bounty categories include:
- Content: Articles, threads, educational materials
- Design: Graphics, memes, brand assets
- Development: Tools, integrations, smart contracts
- Marketing: Campaigns, outreach, community growth
Voting
Token-gated voting ensures that only committed community members influence platform decisions. Voting power is calculated based on:
- Token balance at snapshot time
- Staking duration multipliers (1x-3x)
- Historical participation bonus
Proposals require a minimum quorum of 10% of circulating supply to pass, with a simple majority determining the outcome.
Rewards Vault
The Rewards Vault is a community-controlled treasury that funds bounties, development grants, and operational expenses. Revenue from platform fees (2% of bounty completions) flows into the vault. Token holders vote on quarterly allocations across different categories.
Anti-Spam Rules
To maintain platform quality, Scribe implements several anti-spam measures:
- Minimum token holding (100 $SCRIBE) to create bounties or proposals
- Stake slashing for rejected low-quality submissions
- Reputation scoring based on historical contribution quality
- Rate limiting on submissions and votes per wallet
- Community flagging system with stake-backed reports
